Join a Glass Fusing Workshop on Bonaire!
MoltenWolf Glass loves sharing their passion for art with others by creating unique glass art pieces, quarterly Art Talks with the community, and hosting Pop-Up Art Galleries to showcase local artists on Bonaire. Now they have expanded once again and have designed Glass Fusing Workshops!
What to expect during the workshop.
The glass fusing workshops are designed to allow visitors and locals to participate in the class. The best news is that no experience is required! During the workshop, you will be guided through the entire process of creating your own glass art. You will get to choose your colors and glass, what type of design you want to make, and even fuse the design in the kiln. Since glass needs to stay in the kiln for numerous hours, your projects will be ready for pickup a few days later.
Each workshop is $150 and consists of one class from 6 PM – 9 PM. The cost includes all tools and materials, snacks and beverages, and your finished glass fused art pieces. Jeff Wolf, owner of MoltenWolf Glass, and other artists will be present during the workshops. The artists will help by demonstrating designs and assisting with questions and design inspirations. Each workshop has room for 8 people, ensuring you get enough guidance and space to work on your project.
Since no experience is required, there is no pressure to be perfect. In fact, you don’t even have to consider yourself artistic to join the class. Art comes in various forms, and everyone has a different vision. You may awaken the artist within yourself during the workshop.
When are the workshops?
Currently, there are three workshops. The class will be from 6 PM to 9 PM once a month from June through August. Each class will have a theme: fish wall art, ornaments, and oil & vinegar bottles. Of course, you don’t have to choose just one. You can easily sign up for all three!
During the Fishes with Joël workshop, you will spend three hours creating three to four different kinds of fish of your choice to hang on your wall. Joël will guide you through each step of the process and help you create your own unique fish.
During the workshop, you will spend three hours creating four different kinds of ornaments. The ornaments can be the perfect gift for friends and family or a beautiful decoration to display in your home.
During the Olive Oil Bottles workshop, Jessica will guide you through the process of creating your own oil & vinegar bottles for your home. Whether you want to use the most common colors in your kitchen or choose a pop of color, your design is sure to spice up your kitchen!
