Sea Turtle Conservation Bonaire began its work in 1991.
Years ago, Sea Turtle Conservation Bonaire (STCB) was founded and began monitoring the status and threats to Bonaire’s sea turtles. Comprehensive local laws, as well as international treaties, now protect sea turtles, their nests, and their eggs from harvest and harassment.
STCB’s goal is to ensure Bonaire’s sea turtles have a future.
STCB is an organization that continuously works to help educate visitors and residents on Bonaire about the importance of sea turtles. STCB performs numerous activities, including nest monitoring, in-water surveys, satellite tracking, sea-grass protection, fishing line cleanup, and sea turtle rescue. There are many ways to get involved while you are on the island.
