Recycle at Bonaire’s Selibon

Recycling is easy at Bonaire’s Selibon.

Many visitors or new residents to Bonaire do not realize that the island has an active recycling center.  Visitors are encouraged to recycle just as much as residents.

Selibon is the main recycling center.

Selibon is centrally located at Kaya Industria #20, right next to Warehouse Supermarket.  The center is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM straight through until 4:00 PM and on Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

Products that can be dropped off for recycling include plastic, glass, metal, oil, paper, cardboard, electronics, batteries, or oil.  If you have an item and you are not sure if the center will accept it, just give them a call at +599 717-8159.

Neighborhood drop-off locations are available all over Bonaire.

In addition to the full recycling facility, there are drop-spots all over Bonaire for various types of glass, as well as for cardboard, cans, or plastics. Many are located in or near the parking lots of supermarkets and also some restaurants or snacks.
