Bonaire Landsailing Adventures, Where You Can “Get Your Blokart Grin On!
Whenever you visit Bonaire Landsailing Adventures, one thing is assured–you will get your grin on! The famous Blokart Grin, that is! It doesn’t matter if one is a Blokart World Champion, or a Bonaire visitor looking for an adrenaline rush, everyone out on the track wears the same grin! Even those who express a little nervousness are grinning from ear-to-ear after one or two passes around the track.
Bonaire Landsailing Adventures is an activity not to be missed.
Bonaire is well known for its constant trade winds, and those who visit Bonaire for windsurfing or kiteboarding are familiar with utilizing the island’s wind for their sports. Now, anyone and everyone can harness the wind and go sailing along the coastline, but now it’s available on good ol’ terra firma.
Bonaire Landsailing Adventures has a wonderful dedicated Blokart track, the only one in the Caribbean, located just off the main road to Rincon, along the rugged eastern coastline of the island. Imagine yourself sailing by, watching as the waves crash just a few feet or meters away along the rough, windward coast.
Rent a Blokart and try out landsailing on Bonaire.
Bonaire Landsailing Adventures has everything you need to enjoy a fun, but safe, experience. Their staff is knowledgeable, patient, and ready to assist you with one of the best activities you’ll ever enjoy on Bonaire. Blokarts can be booked for either 30- or 60-minute experiences, but the time flies by so quickly, the hour-long ride will definitely be the one to choose.
Different sails are available and the staff will choose the correct one for your experience (or inexperience), the winds on the day you ride, and your own physical considerations. Age is not a limiting factor! Kids as young as 8 can sail solo, and those between 3 and 8 years old can ride in shadow karts with a parent or guardian. Even seniors have enjoyed the thrill of landsailing.
It’s very easy to learn to work the wind in your sail–most people have it mastered in just a few passes around the track. And then it’s literally “smooth sailing!”
Book out the track! This is a great option for groups.
Booking out the entire track is an excellent way for groups to all have fun together. Dive clubs, families, or groups of friends can reserve the track for their own private use. Have a blast while engaging in a little old-fashioned competition! On normal-wind days, the Blokarts get up to about 40 kpm (25 mph), so get out onto the track and see how you do against your best buddies.
