An evening of fine dining with At Home Private Dining & Sommelier

At Home Private Dining & Sommelier offers an intimate dining experience.

At Home Private Dining & Sommelier is a company on Bonaire that strives to create a delectable lunch or dinner at your home or villa. Choose from a four, five, or six-course meal or a wine pairing and relax into the fine dining experience. The owner and sommelier will take care of everything from shopping to the table setting and even leaving the kitchen spotless at the night’s end.

Starting the night off with a glass of bubbly.

Earlier this week, I had a chance to experience fine dining with At Home Private Dining & Sommelier. And let me tell you, it was absolutely amazing! As I arrived at the location, the table was set to perfection, which created a fine dining atmosphere. Once seated, the owner and sommelier greeted everyone with a glass of prosecco. A little bubbly is always welcome!

Excellent wine pairing.

The four-course dinner was a surprise for us, which allowed us to step out of our comfort zone. Of course, allergies are discussed ahead of time and taken into account.

Since At Home Private Dining & Sommelier specializes in wine pairing, our wine was chosen for us in advance. The owner and sommelier only uses Italian wines and has a true passion for Italy. Italy’s wine, food, people, landscape, and the country’s small details bring her joy and inspire her culinary creations. The wines chosen complemented the four courses flawlessly.

As we chatted and sipped on our wine, an amuse was placed in front of us. It was a delightful bite consisting of a small tortilla cup filled with avocado cream, topped with spicy cream cheese and marinated tomato. The flavors melded together perfectly to create a scrumptious small bite.

The first course.

Soon, our first course arrived at the table. It was almost too pretty to eat, but that didn’t stop us! The first course was a beautiful display of grilled watermelon topped with watermelon and tomato marinated with basil. Paired with the watermelon was prosciutto di parma. The fresh ingredients paired well together in this combination.

The second course.

For our second course, we were presented with a bowl of soup. And boy, was this tasty! The soup was a beef broth consisting of strips of beef tongue with fresh julienne-cut vegetables. The soup was savory and packed a flavorful punch.

The third course.

A little while later, our third course of the evening arrived. It was a dazzling display of pasta mezza luna, a half-moon pasta. Inside the pasta was a mixture of mozzarella and mushrooms with a butter and sage sauce drizzled on top. Sprinkled on the pasta were olives, crunchy hazelnuts, and pecorino cheese. The flavors and texture delighted our tastebuds as we cleaned our plates.

The fourth course.

Our final course was the fresh wahoo, cooked to perfection. Wahoo is easy to overcook, but not this time! The tender wahoo melted in our mouths! Complementing the wahoo was a tasty dill sauce, potato mousseline, baby bok choy, and roasted sweet bell pepper. I’m pretty sure everyone at the table savored every bite!
