Divers Paradise Island Escape Game

Island Escape Games allows you to step back in time.

Bee Caribe Island Escape Games offers a variety of games that you can experience at your leisure during your vacation on Bonaire. The island escape game that I chose was Divers Paradise. Since three brains are better than one, I invited my two friends to join, Meredith and Kelly. Between the three of us, can we solve the riddles and puzzles?

The story of Divers Paradise Island Escape Game

Captain Don is well known on Bonaire as the founder of our diving industry but do you know the history? During the game, Meredith, Kelly, and I follow in Captain Don’s footsteps to protect the island’s underwater jewels.

What started as a spearfishing competition in August 1963, ended in Captain Don’s lifelong quest to conserve and protect Bonaire’s marine ecosystem. This is where the game begins, and we must help Captain Don!

Let the games begin!

Divers Paradise Island Escape Game is a combination of walking and driving. Make sure you bring plenty of water, a hat, sunscreen, and comfortable shoes. After downloading the app ahead of time, we made a plan to meet at the game’s starting point. Once everyone arrived, we chose a team name and entered the user name and password to begin. Now the timer is running, and we must follow the clues!

The first portion of the game is played on foot. We walked around downtown Kralendijk discovering clues and, of course, taking a few selfies along the way. When you reach each destination, you receive a notification on your phone. We found this feature to be both amusing and helpful. The game also provides a countdown warning every 30 minutes, so you know how much time has passed. For those of a competitive nature, you must complete the game in 2.5 hours in order to be listed in the race for the fastest time. Do you think we made it?

After playing the Divers Paradise Island Escape Game, allow me to offer a pro tip. Read the question carefully! Some of the questions can be tricky! After missing a couple of the questions along the way, we successfully made it back to our car.

The second portion of the game is driving. We turned on the music and air conditioner, helped each other solve the clues, and headed to the next destination. During the driving portion of the game, we received a notification we didn’t want to hear. We surpassed the 2.5 hours and were no longer in the running for the fastest time! I guess we had a little too much fun along the way! But not to worry, as the timer continues for a couple more hours.

Since we were no longer in the running for the fastest time, we made a pitstop for some car snacks. Just remember to keep on moving and don’t stop for too long.

Did we solve the puzzle?

YES! Even though we were a slow group, we had so much fun along the way. We eventually helped Captain Don protect the island’s nature from being destroyed….four hours later! The average time for a ‘normal’ group is about 2 hours and 20 minutes. But we are anything but normal, especially when the three of us are together! We are officially the slowest group on Bonaire, with a time of 4 hours for the Divers Paradise Island Escape Game! No awards for us, but we had so much fun along the way.
