Deaxo Croes swam from Bonaire to Curacao in a day!

Deaxo Croes completed a historical swim!

On Saturday. November 19, 2022 Deaxo Croes, an Aruban Open Water swimmer, embarked on a historic swim between the sister islands of Bonaire and Curaçao. In total, Deaxo covered 53 kilometers (33 miles) in the Caribbean Sea, from the west coast of Bonaire to the east point of Curaçao.

The journey from Bonaire to Curaçao.

Deaxo started his journey in the early morning, around 2 AM, leaving from the southernmost tip of Bonaire near the Red Slave dive site. With the guidance of volunteers, he reached the easternmost point of Curaçao around 4 PM on the same day! What an amazing performance and a beautiful gesture from Deaxo!

Deaxo’s dream was to include Bonaire and Curaçao in his cause to raise cancer awareness and promote the work of the local cancer foundations.
