Washington Slagbaai National Park Closed on Mondays

The park will be temporarily closed on Mondays.

Beginning next month, the Washington Slagbaai National Park will be temporarily closed every Monday from April 2023 to November 2023. This is due to the continuation of one of the most successful reforestation projects in the park (Proyekto Parke Bunita). Part of the reforestation project is removing roaming goats in certain areas. Grazing goats consume native plants species at a high rate. In an effort to facilitate this process, STINAPA will close the park for one day out of the week through November.

The temporary closure will begin on April 3rd and will continue until further notice. During this time, everything else will remain the same. The park will be open from 8 am to 5 pm, Tuesday through Sunday for visitors. If you are a Washington Park fan, be sure to plan your trip accordingly and make sure to arrive early enough to enter the park.
