Bonaire announced new travel measures for the BES islands yesterday, but it is now postponed.
If you are flying to Bonaire from one of the BES islands, it will take more time before the announced measures from yesterday are in place. Relaxed travel measures for the BES islands are temporarily postponed.
Below is a transcript of the latest press release.
The announced relaxation from February 12, 2022 for travelers from the BES islands to Bonaire will be temporarily postponed. The BES islands are special municipalities of the Netherlands. In order to change the travel conditions for those islands, a different path has to be taken than for Curaçao, Aruba, and St. Maarten. Changing the travel conditions will take more time. As soon as the relaxation of travel conditions for travelers from the BES islands to Bonaire is possible, this will be announced.
Fully vaccinated travelers from Saba and St. Eustatius must provisionally do a PCR test 48 hours before departure or an antigen test 24 hours before departure. Travelers from Saba and St. Eustatius who have not been fully vaccinated must do a PCR test 48 hours before departure.
The relaxation of the travel conditions announced yesterday for passengers from Curaçao, Aruba, and St. Maarten remains in force. Fully vaccinated passengers from those islands do not need to take an antigen or PCR test before departure to Bonaire from February 12, 2022.
Update as of February 25, 2022.
Fully vaccinated and unvaccinated travelers from Saba and St. Eustatius to Bonaire only need to fill in a health declaration.
