Sunset Beach Construction Closes Shore Entry

Sunset Beach park

Construction of the Sunset Beach public park begins next week.

Work to build a public park at Sunset Beach, between Chogogo Beach Resort and Den Laman Condominiums, will officially start Monday, February 6, 2023. The area will be closed to the public this week in order to comply with the safety regulations and guarantee the safety of everyone. This means that it is not possible to use the beach for the time being. The construction work will take about a year to complete. BOG requests the cooperation of everyone to respect the building site during the construction period.

In September 2022, BOG presented the plan to build a recreational park at Sunset Beach, with many facilities such as a slipway, a ramp for people with physical disabilities to easily enter the sea, palapas, kiosks and public toilets. With areas for barbecuing, exercise and for children, it also creates modern, sustainable and accessible recreational opportunities for people of all ages.
