Renting a scooter or bicycle for your vacation.
Those visitors who might not be diving may prefer to rent a scooter, or even a bicycle, to get around. Although the island is small, using a bicycle can be daunting, especially in the tropical heat of the mid-day. Scooters can alleviate that worry while still giving convenience in getting around for grocery shopping, visiting restaurants, or just going to the beach.
Requirements for renting a scooter.
If you do choose to rent a scooter, it will be necessary to produce a valid driver’s license (U.S., Canadian, and European licenses are all accepted), be at least 18 years of age, and pay a deposit or use a credit card for security. An advance reservation is highly recommended, especially during holiday travel periods.
Rental companies which offer scooters are located around the island, many are in convenient locations to hotels and resorts. Some will offer a pickup service if the rental period is of more than a day or two.
