Bonaire Rum Week Creates a Rum Connoisseur’s Paradise

The island will host its first Bonaire Rum Week Festival, June 14 through 17,  2022.

Bonaire has long been known as the Divers’ Paradise.  Over the past decade, it become known for being a Windsurfers’ Paradise, and even recently, a Birders’ Paradise!  But now, with the coming Bonaire Rum Week, scheduled for June 14-22, 2022, Bonaire will certainly become known as the Rum Connoisseur’s Paradise.

What is Bonaire Rum Week?

Bonaire Rum Week will be a celebration of the Caribbean region’s finest rums, including Bonaire’s own Rom Rincon.  And what goes best with rum?  Great food, of course!  During the festival, some of Bonaire’s best gastronomic eaters will present their best dishes to be savored alongside luscious rum cocktails.

What fine rums will I be able to sample?

During the week, event participants will be able to sample a variety of the Caribbean’s finest rums.  Always a local favorite, Cadushy’s award-winning Rom Rincon will be front and center on stage, but other great Caribbean rums will be vying for attention.  Sip fabulous cocktails including rums from Ron Papiamento (Aruba), Gosling’s Rum (Bermuda), Clifton Estate Rum (Nevis), Don Q (Puerto Rico), Ron Barcelo (Dominican Republic), Dutch Head Rum (The Netherlands), Papa’s Pilar (Pan-Caribbean). Ron Carupano (Venezuela). Ron Brugal (Dominican Republic). Siesta Key (Florida). and San Juan Artisan Distillers (Puerto Rico).  That is going to be one stiff competition between fabulous rums!
